We pay honors to four officers who died in the line of duty or as the result of injuries sustained in the line of duty.

Whatever good or bad comes out of the failure of the House to pass the Wall Street Bailout package (H.R. 3997, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act (EESA)) it should be clear that, for once, our Representatives listened to the people. If only for once and if only because elections are five weeks away.

I will not allow my US Representative and Congressman to vote to bailout Wall Street as long as it includes ANY MONEY for the executives of the banks, lenders and other companies that will be accepting ANY of this “Bailout” money.

The Department of Homeland Security has expanded the search and seizure powers of Customs and Border Protection officers at the borders.

In July 2007 DHS reversed a long standing policy on the copying and storage of information collected from travelers, including US citzens, entering the United States.

Between September 4th and the 23rd there have been 13 officers killed. The vast majority in automobile accidents (both cars and motorcycles). Additionally we have lost 4 officers to gunfire.

Its all about learning to love and pimp out your .htaccess file. Making it earn its keep and, hopefully, giving you more confidence that your blog isn’t goingto be overrun while your not home.
